AURA Music Group and Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park have announced additional artists for the seventh annual AURA Music & Arts Festival taking place March 3 – 5, 2016 at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Florida. Joining the line-up is internationally renowned recording artist and DJ collectiveThievery Corporation; Grammy Award-winning instrumental jazz fusion band Snarky Puppy; live electronic pioneers theNEWDEAL and Particle; rising jam starsThe Werks; Mike Dillon Band and his hardcore freak funk; the debut of NUNCHUCK (featuring Chuck Jones and Scott Zwang of Dopapod, Mike Dillon, and Craig Brodhead of Turkuaz), Jimkata; Bedside (live band); The Fritz and more.
The Silent Disco and ENO Lotus Lounge artists have also been announced including Miami’s experimental psychedelic hip hop five-piece Telekinetic Walrus, producer duo MZG, subtropic pop troubadour Mike Mineo’s project Mineo Loops and livetronica duo Bells and Robes. Several band members will also showcase side projects in the Silent Disco including Dopapod’s Scott Zwang and LD Luke Stratton (Zwang Bang and Chewie), The Heavy Pet’s Tony D and DuBBle James, and Packy Lunn from Jimkata aka Weazildust,
These artists and many others join The Disco Biscuits, ALO, The Main Squeeze, The Heavy Pets Tribute to the ‘80s featuring Jennifer Hartswick andNatalie Cressman, Pink Talking Fish, Turkuaz, Tom Hamilton’s American Babies and The Bright Light Social Hour.
AURA is more than just a music festival. It is a much-loved celebratory weekend of music, art and community attracting fans from around the country. This year AURA will continue to expand their newly cultivated ‘Vibe Village’ featuring experiential multimedia live art and installations, the Yoga & Healing Arts Programwith more than 20 classes and workshops, Vibe Stage programming, Silent Disco where fans can dance into the wee hours and the ENO Lotus Lounge. The grounds are also home to one of the most beautiful natural amphitheaters in the US made only more awe-inspiring by AURA’s strong attention to sound and lighting production.
Set in the midst of 800 acres of Spanish moss-draped oak and cypress trees along the Suwannee River, the venue is a playground for endless activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, disc golf and biking. The park also offers guest comforts including a general store, full-service restaurant, free showers, indoor bathrooms and water stations.
A limited number of Early Bird Tickets are on sale now for $129 for a 3-day GA Weekend Pass and $275 for VIP (all taxes, fees and camping included) but ticket prices will increase Sunday, December 13 at midnight.
