Oct 28-30, 2016, Live Oak, FL
By Kaylee Zielinski
Hulaween returns to Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, in Live Oak, FL, for its 4th year in a row hosted by Colorado natives String Cheese Incident and the lineup could not get cheesier. Given the boom in attendance last year, producers have limited the event to only 20,000 attendees — so while there is still time, go get your tickets!
The lineup never disappoints and this year is no exception, casting an immense variety of heavy hitting artists over 3 days, performing at Suwannee Hulaween is My Morning Jacket, Grammy nominated British dance act Disclosure, Umphrey’s McGee, STS9, Big Gigantic featuring The Motet, Lettuce, The Claypool Lennon Delirium, Gramatik, Greensky Bluegrass along with some other mid level favorites like Larry Keel, Twiddle, and The Fritz.
The costume theme for this year’s Hulaween is “Stringier Things,” which will celebrate vintage 1980s supernatural horror/pop culture inspired by the super popular Netflix TV Show, “Stranger Things.” Expect to see many people adorned with messy brown wigs with Christmas lights acting out their best Winona Ryder.
Suwannee has a ton of surprises in store for this year’s attendee’s including beautiful light installations along in Spirit Lake. Along with that, patrons can look forward to a new stage called The Patch which will host performances by Gramatik, Snarky Puppy, STS9, and many more!
