Gypsy Sally's Presents 2-night New Year's Eve Celebration "Funk on the Fly" with Everyone Orchestra

Gypsy Sally’s is pleased to present a 2-night New Year’s Eve Celebration entitled “Funk on the Fly” (12/30 & 12/31) featuring Everyone Orchestra! Special guests Ron Holloway Band (12/30), The Trongone Band and Of Tomorrow(12/31) will open the shows!

Everyone Orchestra conductor Matt Butler assembles a cavalcade of elite musicians, and leads them through live, on the spot jams – no rehearsals, no sheet music, just pure spontaneous improvised tunes. Butler has been leading a rotating cast of accredited players through full-length joyful, danceable shows that are entirely improvised, since 2001. He dons a conductor’s hat on stage and a small whiteboard, where Butler furiously churns out cues for the audience and band alike to weave through up-tempo and exploratory songs with purpose. The cued choruses and gleeful shouts from the crowd back to their conductor, help create musical magic where everyone truly participates.

Everyone Orchestra has played Gypsy Sally’s 3 times to packed houses.

Both shows offer an all-star, unique lineup of the jam scene’s most talked about musicians, both local and touring.
