Hello Readers!
There’s plenty to do this week so sharpen your pencils and get out your planner. A very special event this week is presented by Creative Labs, The Mad Tea Party Jam, The Jamwich, and Project Bring Me To Life, an event that has been a longtime dream for The Jamwich producers – The Mad Tea Party Jam Art Night at Creative Labs in Baltimore on Wednesday March 21st is the first event of its kind where the artists are the center of the show. Three artists will collaborate on a piece attempting to finish it in 3 hours or less, set to the music of DJ Shantastic Shine and DJ Selo. All artists are welcome to bring their own live art set up and create. It’s a great opportunity to test out your live art set up before the summer, learn more about Creative Labs, The Jamwich, The Mad Tea Party Jam, and Project Bring Me To Life, network and make connections, or just check out an awesome art performance while dancing and playing! Flow arts and cameras are also welcome. The event is BYOB so let’s make it a party. RSVP the event here.
The electronic jam band duo EOTO will be playing this Thursday at Funk n’ Waffles Music Hall in Rochester, New York, Friday at 123 Pleasant Street in Morgantown, WV, and Saturday at U Street Music Hall in Washington, DC. If you are not familiar with EOTO, the band started as a String Cheese Incident side project focused more around the use of loop pedals and computer-based production programs. The band consists of Michael Hann and Jason Travis, both percussionists from SCI. The band does make use of a lot of electronic equipment, however, all music is made live on stage, and nothing is pre-recorded. Since the bands inception in 2006, they have released three full length studio albums, as well as several live recordings made available through the band’s website. After their first five years together, Travis and Hann have played over 500 shows in 48 states. Come check out the good sounds of EOTO this Thursday in Rochester!

Aqueous is a somewhat new name on the circuit that has been getting a lot of press. Hailing from Asheville, North Carolina, the band features a younger cast with a fresh take on how to compose and improvise in order to create a meaningful live experience. Aqueous will also be playing a solo show at The 8×10 in Baltimore on Thursday, 03/22.
