Located at the iconic Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California—Arroyo Seco Weekend is bringing some legendary talent to fill their stages for this two day Music Festival. The festival is set to take place on June 23rd and 24th a Saturday and a Sunday. Nestled into the beautiful Pasadena mountains the Rose Bowl is home to local farmers markets, flea markets and more.
The Festival will open to the public at noon each day and is an all ages event. With three stages of live music and curated menus from LA’s top notch chefs plus craft beer and wine. Featuring the most sought-after dishes and award-winning restaurants the Los Angeles and Pasadena communities have to offer. If you are looking to satisfy any craving you will most likely be able to from classic Italian dishes and authentic Mexican, and Korean BBQ. There will be plenty gluten-free and vegan options too. Celebrating Los Angeles’ melting pot of a food scene with an extensive line-up of craft beer, wine and tons of music.
Saturday’s line up consists of musical acts from Dwight Twilley, Seu Jorge, Kamasi Washington, Pretenders, Jack White, Neil Young + Promise of the Real all on The Oaks stage. While the Sycamore stage hosts artists Maxim Ludwig, North Mississippi Allstars, Shakey Graves, The Milk Carton Kids, Belle and Sebastian, The Specials—Typhoon, Pharoah Sanders, Jeff Goldblum and theMildred Snitzer Orchestra, Hurray for the riff raft, Margo Price, and Gomez are all set to play the Willow stage.
Sunday’s music starts at 1pm, with the talented Allen Stone, The Revolution, The Bangles, Los Lobos, Capital Cities, and Third Eye Blind on the Sycamore stage. While the The Oaks Stage continues with Trampled By Turtles, Violent Femmes, Alanis Morissette, Gary Clark Jr., Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, and the Kings of Leon—the Willow stage will hold it down with musical performances by Tracksuit Wedding, Margaret Glaspy, Fantastic Negrito, Dorothy, Irma Thomas, and Aaron Neville.
Along with the incredible talent Arroyo Seco weekend will be hosting art installations and interactive areas for attendees to explore and collaborate with. DIY with the Arroyo Art Studios, where supplies will be provided for you to create hair wraps, essential oil spritzers, and supplies for jewelry making. Swing by the Glasshouse Record Store which will be open all weekend long, to sift through over 10,000 vinyl records—new and used and ready for purchase. When you are done going through records hit the festival grounds in search of SoCals oldest undefended bookstore stocks which give festival goers a chance to sit back and enjoy a book up subjects ranging from music and science to Pasadena’s history and architecture—Give one, leave one concept.
With the large arrangement of activities to do at Arroyo Seco there is a little of something for everyone, don’t forget to stop by the POSTed Studio, the Los Angeles River Rover, the Interactive Scent Lab with André Barnwell, and the Energy Playground—and if all else fails and you don’t make it to any of these interactive activities, take a step back to enjoy the scenery and beauty all around, the surrounding scenery, art, and music.
