Hey there, Readers! August is coming to an end, but the spirit of summer is still going strong.  There are plenty of festivals to choose from this weekend, and many greats shows throughout the week. Still trying to make plans? Here is what’s up.

Grab your bathing suit and head on over to Nelson Ledges Quarry Park in Garrettsville, Ohio for the annual Lotus family gathering, Summerdance. Swim in the refreshing waters of the quarry, go cliff diving, hang out on the beach and enjoy your favorite bands all weekend long. Scheduled musicians include Lotus, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Octave Cat, Broccoli Samurai and many more.  Hang out with Jesse Miller of Lotus Friday afternoon for a workshop on modular synths. The east coast’s premier reggae and rock grassroots festival Surrounded by the Sound Music & Arts Festival comes to Chattooga River Resort and Campground in Long Creek, South Carolina.  Enjoy camping, live music, live artists, an art gallery, disc golf, craft beer, craft vendors, food trucks and a kid’s zone!  Boogie down at the stage with Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Badfish, Zach Deputy, Tropidelic, Jahman Brahman and many more.  FYI: The parking lot will not be within walking distance to the campground, and you will need to utilize the shuttle service; no foot traffic will be allowed on the main roads.  Last call weekend passes are going for $150, and car camping passes will be an additional $75. Come hang out at Front Porch Fest at Spirithaven Farm in Stuart, Virginia.  Situated on 130 acres in the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains, this festival offers a phenomenal getaway experience.  Scheduled performers include Perpetual Groove, Zach Deputy, The Larry Keel Experience, Big Daddy Love, Dr. Bacon and many more awesome artists.  Weekend passes are set at $120, with kids under 12 entering for free.  Car camping passes are currently sold out, so show up ready to pitch a tent.
