Greetings, readers! The Travelin’ McCourys and Jeff Austin Band join forces at the Woodlands Tavern in Columbus, OH this Sunday to bring us The Grateful Ball, which will celebrate the venue’s ten-year anniversary.  Check out this Jamwich article written by Tom Wickstrom to learn more about the band, the event, and to read an interview with Ronnie McCoury of The Travelin’ McCourys. CBDB

The Alabama progressive-rock/jam band CBDB will be jamming their way through the region this week.  Gaining more and more of a following with each performance, CBDB has quickly climbed the ranks of jam-bands, and is now being invited to share the stage with Umphrey’s McGee, Galactic, Kyle Hollingsworth Band, Perpetual Groove and many more.  Check them out this week at the Visulite Theatre in Charlotte, NC (01/24), The Pour House Music Hall in Charlotte, NC (01/25) and The Taproom at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in Mills Run, NC (01/26)

Disco Biscuits

Well-seasoned jam band powerhouse The Disco Biscuits descend upon Washington D.C. this weekend for two evenings of out-of-this-world fun.  Tickets for the Friday, January 25th show will only be available as part of a two-day pass which includes passes to both concerts/both venues.  Single passes are still available for just Saturday night, however.  ($80 for both nights, $40 for just Saturday). Two-day passes are limited, so get yours before they are all gone.

 

Want a taste of something classic? Check out these awesome cover bands that are playing in the area this week.  The Lizards bring the phishy vibes to Westcott Theatre in Syracuse, NY (01/24). Jazz is PHSH give us their interpretations of classic Phish songs at GE Theatre at Proctors in Schenectady, NY. Grateful Dead cover band Cosmic Charlie takes the stage with Black Muddy River Band at Gypsy Sally’s in Washington, DC, and Splintered Sunlight keeps things grateful at The Ardmore Music Hall in Philadelphia, PA.
