Help make the world a better place this weekend at Musicians Against Childhood Cancer Bluegrass Festival at the Cardinal Center Campgrounds in Marengo, OH; presented by Darrel Adkins and The Bluegrass Classic. This is an annual charitable event, which aims to raise funds for St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. Since 1962 the treatment protocols that were developed at St. Jude’s have helped increase survival rates of childhood cancer from less than 20% to around 70%. Musicians scheduled to play the event include Po’ Ramblin Boys, Russel Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, Band of Ruhks, Paul Williams, Grascals, Red Marlow, and many more! Four-day general admission tickets are on sale for $120, with single-day passes available for $40 per night. Camping and parking is included with all weekend passes. The 39th annual Gathering at Chaffee’s is going down this weekend at the Chaffee family property in Girard, PA. This two-day, two-night celebration started in 1980 as a Fourth of July party among friends and family. The festival has continued to grow over the years, but has made sure to maintain the comfy, familial vibe that made it such a popular destination years prior. This year it will be Spiritual Rez, Mungion, LITZ, Magic Beans, Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers, The Fritz, and several other regional acts providing the jams. Last-call weekend general admission passes are on sale for $100, with both camping and parking included. Feel goood paying for your ticket knowing that a portion of the proceeds from this event will go towards the Children Advocacy Center of Erie County, as well as Shriner’s Hospital for Children. Lazy Ass Productions and The Jakob Ferry Stragglers are proud to present Grass in the Glades, held at the The Glades Festival Grounds in Gibbon Glade, PA this weekend! This event is ideal for parents with younger children, as every kid under 18 (must be accompanied by an adult) gets free admission. Soak up the natural beauty of the Laurel Highlands all weekend long, as well boogie down in front of the stage to the music of The Jakob Ferry Stragglers, Shelf Life String Band, Dirty Blanket, Folkfaces, The Plate Scrapers, Split String Soup and many other great artists.
