Acoustic Indie-duo Jack and Gin will release their debut single Hell’s Hot, Florida’s Hotter on December 11th. This is just one of the tracks from their upcoming self-titled release due out in March 2022. Jack and Gin are composed of Eli Ingram and Sandi Marlisa both skilled singer-songwriters in their own capacities but recently came together and have become blissful partners.
Before the couple began the recording process they decided to visit the Appalachian mountains near Asheville North Carolina to witness the onset of fall…a sight many Floridians crave but rarely have the pleasure of experiencing. This adventure was also made with the intention of forming a connection with the area in hopes of performing in Asheville someday. After performing some original songs at an open mic it was decided…it was time to find a studio and make a record. Ingram began the search for an available studio in the area and as fate would have it they were destined to record at the renowned Echo Mountain Studios which is on the outskirts of downtown Asheville.
The pair had initially co-written a song called All The Colors in anticipation of experiencing the beauty of seasonal metamorphosis. The duo originally booked the studio time for a couple of hours but ended up having enough time to record four additional songs. Produced by Kenny Harrington the album is much akin to a live performance you’d experience in small venues along the Florida Gulf Coast. The session was mixed mostly in real-time and includes a few overdubs making the record about as candid as it gets.
Shortly after capturing five songs at Echo Mountain, the two decided to release a full album in 2022 and recently began the continuation at Enlightened Studios in Fort Walton Beach Florida. Eli and Sandi are lifelong songwriters and have lately discovered the tasteful nuances each can offer each other through songs each had already written as well as fresh projects. Sandi(Gin) adds radiant harmony to Eli’s(Jack) vocals and the two create a sound that is rich in whimsical wonder.
Jack and Gin are planning a release party at Robert’s Hall in Lynn Haven Florida sometime in March 2022 where there will be physical copies available. Their upcoming single Hell’s Hot, Florida’s Hotter will premier on all streaming platforms on December 11th.
