“Mele Kalikimaka”, meaning “Merry Christmas”, is a tune written by Robert Alexander Anderson way back in 1949. Putting her own spin on it, Andrea Whitt, invited some of her close friends to create a magical journey for her listeners.
Andrea Whitt is an international touring and recording artist. She performs on viola, fiddle and pedal steel guitar alongside Italian artist Zucchero, toured with Shania Twain, performs in the Stu Hamm Band, and with ‘Acid Americana’ duo Katie & Andrea who toured with Dead & Co for VIP pre-show entertainment.
She has recorded on Grammy award winning albums and has performed and recorded with dozens of other musicians including Kamasi Washington, Kendrick Lamar, Deep Purple, Stevie Wonder, and Phil Lesh.
Toshi Yanagi (Jimmy Kimmel Live), on guitar, Brandon Coleman is featured on the piano. Teddy Jack, producer/musician from Los Angeles plays an integral role lending his instrumental expertise as well as all the “behind the scenes” work in the recording studio.
