On Friday evening one the legendary blues group, North Mississippi Allstars, will grace the stage at Ardmore Music Hall. Founded in 1996 in Hernando (Mississippi) by brothers, guitarist/singer Luther Dickinson and drummer Cody Dickinson. With a number of Grammy nominations under their belt along with twelve studio albums, the band has been in the forefront of the delta blues scene today.
During The Allman Betts Band Family Revival, The Dickinson Brothers became close with vocalist Lamar Williams, Jr. son of Allman Brothers Band bassist (Lamar Williams, Sr.). The brought on Williams to led them on vocals and Jesse Williams on bass.
On the heels of their thirteenth, “Set Sail”, on New West Records the band is firing on all cylinders and bringing a live show to audiences across the nation.
