Cauliflower Wings are gaining hype, as they should! This tasty snack is completely vegan but will please vegetarians and omnivores as well. It’s a staple in the Jamwich household. Don’t forget the vegan ranch! Make your own with the recipe below, or use a brand like Daiya or Follow Your Heart.
Preheat oven to 450° F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut 1 head of cauliflower into hold-able florets.
Toss the florets in a mixture of 1.5 cups flour (any kind), salt, pepper, and paprika to taste.
Dip each floret into a wet mixture of 1 cup flour, 1 cup water, salt, pepper, paprika, and a few dashes of hot sauce and then cover floret in the dry mix again.
Place battered florets not touching on the baking sheet, spray with cooking spray, and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Meanwhile, make the wing sauce by heating equal parts Earth Balance butter and hot sauce (or any flavor dipping sauce) until completely integrated.
To make a dairy free Ranch dip, combine equal parts Veganaise and Tofutti Sour Cream with a pinch of celery seed, salt, and pepper.
To make the sweet BBQ sauce depicted in the photo, combine equal parts ketchup and brown sugar with a spoonful of agave and/or molasses, plus salt, pepper, paprika, and smokey seasoning if available.
